Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and animated series. The new cast member joins a number of new cast members who will portray the organization to the screen, such as head Mr. 0, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of the desert kingdom. Although this character is a important part of the organization, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment.
