Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who breached a fence and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral clip reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the event by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile features clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said one more response on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, securing several for outstanding attire and production design.
